Cajun butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Turkey One 12 to 14 pound turkey. Any turkey larger than 14 pounds will not fry well, and should not be attempted with this or any other pot.

Peanut oil: Enough to cover the turkey by a few inches. You will have to determine the correct amount before beginning the cook by putting the raw turkey into the pot and covering with water until the water comes 2 inches above the turkey. Mark the water line as a reference for how much oil to pour into the pot. Make sure pot and turkey is completely dry before heating the oil.
(Side note) The Cajun Rocket Pot has already calculated how much oil to use for different size turkeys. The oil level indicators are stamped into the pot on the back side

1. Inject the turkey with cajun butter all over.

2. Put oil in the Deep fryer and bring the temperature up to 350 F.

3. Rub frog bone cajun seasoning all over the turkey.

4. Gently lower the turkey in the deep fryer.

5. Cook 3.5 minutes per pound at 350 degrees F. The Cajun Rocket Pot will stay within the cooking range while lowering into the hot oil, so this cook time will hold true through the entire cook.

6. Pull the turkey out and let it drain on the paper towel.

7. Let it drain until all the oil has drained out. Let the turkey rest for about 15 to 20 minutes.

8. Carve the turkey and serve.
